Concrete Cancer & Pool Repair/Restoration

My marble sheen surface on my concrete swimming pool was over thirty years old and looking a bit worse for wear, showing serious signs of rust and had been for a number of years. I had been putting off the evil day when I would have to do something about it, thinking “this is going to cost me big bickies”.

So I bit the bullet and started the wheels in motion, getting quotes from various swimming pool restorers, however I was not completely satisfied by their explanation of how the rust that was seriously effecting my pool would be treated.

I decided to investigate the specialist in treating Spalling (concrete cancer).

Jason McCourt of Australian Concrete Repairs arrived at my door step, and after examining the pool explained to me the process that he would put in to eliminate the rust, and he was very convincing.

He emailed me a quotation for the work along with all the technical information with a detailed translation for me to understand.

He also offered to project manage the restoring of the surface of the pool after he had completed the repair work, sub contracting this phase to a pool resurfacing company.

The end result is that I have a swimming pool that sparkles and is no longer an embarrassment to me, at a cost that I was pleased with, I should have approached Jason years ago.

His professionalism along with the skill of his employees was very reassuring, nothing was too much trouble to him, the work was performed efficiently and the work site was left in a tidy state prior to the resurfacing team to start.
